Rocco Neoclassiciam and Romanticism.

In the eighteenth in the era of Louis 14 (X1V) in France three of the main major styles of painting emerged. Rocco which influences stretched into architecture this had grown out of the baroque period; this was full of excessively ornate flourishes. With subjects that were very playful and hopelessly romantic. In the late 1700 s, a more traditional austere movement developed know as neoclassicism emerged in France. Grand historical themes and religious imaginary made a comeback, with an emphasis on more formal techniques’ in which brushwork was less evident. By the 1800 s the romantic period of art flourished. Artists began to incorporate deeper emotions, with both inner fears and a darker side of human psychology into their paintings. Rather focusing exclusive on royal rulers or historical figures, The life experiences of the ordinary man began to be depicted this became central themes and things became more interesting for art.family portraits began to be seen as this new art found form in architectural flamboyance.
